Are you ready for our next #LIGHTStories? Meet Rashmi Sanjay. She will be one of the storytellers in the light stories this summer.
Born and brought up in India, Rashmi majored in Psychology and English Literature. Independent and strong willed she began her working career in areas of Media, Advertising and Human Resources. She also has volunteered and worked with street kids & orphanages before moving to Canada in 2003.
An active member of the community, she mentored new Canadians and has been on the Board of Directors with Extend-A-Family, Waterloo Region. A certified Yoga instructor and Indian classical dancer herself, she has taught Yoga and Bollywood dance for children and adults. An active wife and mother, she juggled parenthood with a full-time job where she worked until recently for a global visual, audio and collaboration solutions company in Kitchener. She started “You Me and Chai, a conversation” in April 2018 where people from different walks of life and backgrounds meet and talk about various topics and get inspired all over a cup of chai.
Her family is her biggest cheerleaders. Rashmi’s positive attitude and approach to life defines her. She likes to focus on good things and knows there is nothing more powerful than to BELIEVE you can, the DETERMINATION to never give up and to THRIVE for life.
